LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- Everyone's favorite archeologist is headed back to the big screen. LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently confirmed longtime rumors that a fifth installment of Indiana Jones is in the pipeline.
Kennedy, who was interviewed for Vanity Fair's Star Wars cover story, told the magazine that producers are "talking" about a Jones sequel.
"When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it,'" Kennedy said.
Disney won the rights to the Indiana Jones franchise when it acquired LucasFilm in 2012.
Kennedy served as the executive producer on all four Indiana Jones film, including 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Chris Pratt, who stars in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World, is considered a likely candidate for the role of Indiana Jones.
