Lindsey Vonn won't pull a Tiger, refuses to speak about breakup

SEOUL, May 6 (UPI) -- Lindsey Vonn won't mention personal matters when the Olympics are being discussed.

The gold medalist refused to elaborate on her recent breakup with Tiger Woods during a press conference for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games Wednesday.

After Tiger's confession in front of reporters Tuesday, stating that he hasn't slept since the announcement, there was no way Vonn could avoid the public's prying forever.

"I don't really want to talk about my personal life," Vonn said when prompted to talk about the high-profile split. "I think I said everything in my Facebook post. I will just leave it at that."

Vonn, 30, attended a formal appointment as an honorary ambassador for the upcoming Olympic games, where she intends to win another gold.

"At my last Olympics in Vancouver, I won a gold in downhill and finished third in Super-G," she said. "I'll try to improve upon those results, if not match them."

In 2014, torn ligaments forced the skier to sit out of the Winter Games in Sochi. She returned after recovering from surgery last season, winning crystal globes in the World Cup downhill and super-G -- bringing her tally to 19 globes in total.
