Robert Pattinson, FKA twigs make red carpet debut at Met Gala

NEW YORK, May 5 (UPI) -- Robert Pattinson and girlfriend FKA twigs made their red carpet debut as a couple Monday.

The 28-year-old actor and 27-year-old singer-songwriter, born Tahliah Barnett, attended the 2015 Met Gala in New York. Pattinson and FKA twigs have been linked since August 2014, and are rumored to be secretly engaged.

Pattinson wore a requisite black tuxedo, but FKA twigs turned heads in a colorful dress by designer Christopher Kane. The lace creation depicted several human bodies, including a pink man complete with penis and scrotum.

Pattinson was previously involved with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart for several years. Fans of the couple bombarded FKA twigs with racist comments after news of her relationship with the actor broke, causing the singer to defend herself on Twitter in September 2014.
