LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones have officially reconciled.

The 70-year-old actor revealed as much in an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday. Douglas and the 45-year-old actress separated for several months in 2013, but were able to work through their issues and reunite as a couple.

"It can't be a one-way street," he said of fixing relationships. "But I'm crazy about her, and yeah, I think every couple has their difficult times. The only problem is we're all in the public eye and it tends to get more exposed than most. But we're back, stronger than ever."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones have been together since 1999, and welcomed their first child, son Dylan, in August 2000. The couple married months later in November, and daughter Carys followed in April 2003. The actor and actress share a birthday, September 25, albeit 25 years apart.

Douglas will next star as Hank Pym in Marvel film Ant-Man, which released a new teaser trailer this week. Zeta-Jones is scheduled for a movie remake of BBC sitcom Dad's Army with Bill Nighy, and Griselda Blanco biopic The Godmother with Jon Bernthal.
