NEW YORK, April 1 (UPI) -- Olivia Wilde is not ashamed that her body looks different after she give birth to son Otis Alexander Sudeikis last April.

"The truth is, I'm a mother, and I look like one," the actress says in the April issue of Shape, adding that her spread of photos for the magazine has "been generously constructed to show my best angles and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced."

"I am not in perfect shape," said the 27-year-old actress. "In fact, I'm softer than I've ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot."

The Tron star credits her own body and breastfeeding to helping her get rid of her postpartum belly, which according to her looked like a "partially deflated pool toy."

"Luckily, that part doesn't last long," she said. "Basically, for the first few months, your body has that covered, and you can just let it do the work while you focus on keeping the kid alive and occasionally washing your hair. Breast-feeding helps, in the most intense way."

As for childbirth and whether she'd like to have a second child with fiance Jason Sudeikis, Wilde says that it "is definitely not for the faint of heart," but she "can't wait to do it again."

The new issue of Shape is on newsstands now.
