NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- The American publisher of Swedish author Stieg Larsson's wildly successful Millennium series revealed the name of the fourth book Tuesday.

Though Larsson has been dead for about a decade, fellow Swedish author David Lagercrantz has picked up where he left off in the tales of edgy computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, the so-called Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group said the English title for the fourth installment of the series will be The Girl in the Spider's Web. The publishing house also revealed the cover for the American version of the book.

The Guardian reports the title of the Swedish version of the book translates to What Doesn't Kill You.

The Girl in the Spider's Web is preceded by Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest respectively. The first three books were entirely written by Larsson before his death in 2004.

"Stieg Larsson was a master at creating complex narratives," said Lagercrantz, "narratives made all the more forceful because of the journalistic authority with which they were originally written. That was something that informed my approach to book four, and I'm confident Millennium readers will identify with the storylines in Spider's Web."

The book contain's the usual themes and tropes of the first three books, but "there are some surprises in store for readers as well, including the introduction of Silicon Valley as a locale and a character from the National Security Agency in a central role. There are even symbols and code," Lagercrantz said.

"David Lagercrantz's familiarity and understanding of Stieg's work as a journalist, coupled with his appreciation Stieg's work as a novelist, made him the perfect candidate to continue working on the Millennium series, and it is evident on every page of this extraordinary thriller," said Sonny Mehta, editor-in-chief of Alfred A. Knopf.

Though Lagercrantz was approved by Larsson's estate to continue the series of books, Larsson's partner of 32 years, Eva Gabrielsson, has expressed displeasure over another author taking over the books.

Gabrielsson said Larsson completed about 30 percent of a manuscript for a fourth book, which she is withholding. Lagercrantz's book was not at all based upon that partial text.

The Girl in the Spider's Web is scheduled to be published Sept. 1.
