Jon Bon Jovi sells $37 million Manhattan apartment

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has finally sold his Manhattan penthouse for $37.5 million after two years on the market.

The apartment was listed in 2013 for $42 million but the price was reduced several times. Heidi Klum was known as a potential buyer at one point.

The apartment has a chef's kitchen with 11-foot ceilings, glass walls and three landscaped terraces. On the first floor, there are five bedrooms and bathrooms, including a master suite, a great room, wood-burning fireplace, dining area and gourmet kitchen. On the second level, formal living and dining rooms, another kitchen, a second wood-burning fireplace, screening room, guest room, bathroom and powder room.

Bon Jovi originally bought the place in SoHo for $27 million in 2007.

The building is the same one where Mark Madoff, son of Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, died in 2010.

Bon Jovi currently lives with his family in a mansion in Middetown, N.J.
