Ariana Grande teases upcoming 'Scream Queens' role

The singer is expected to portray a sorority sister on the new Fox series.

LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- Ariana Grande teased her upcoming Scream Queens role Sunday on Instagram.

The 21-year-old singer shared a photo of herself blowing a bubblegum bubble à la co-star Emma Roberts. The 24-year-old actress blew a sinister bubble outside a sorority house in a teaser for the new Fox series earlier this month.

Grande referenced the title of the horror-comedy show in her caption, but did not include details about her character. Season one will focus on a string of murders on a college campus, and the singer is expected to portray a sorority sister.

Scream Queens is created by Glee and American Horror Story co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, and will also star Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer and Nick Jonas. The series is scheduled to premiere in the fall.

Grande came to fame as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and went on to star on spinoff Sam & Cat. The singer released her second studio album, My Everything, in August 2014, and will extend her accompany Honeymoon tour by 40 more dates.
