Kate Gosselin dismisses child abuse allegations

The reality star was allegedly accused of spanking her children and locking them in their bedrooms.

WERNERSVILLE, Pa., March 23 (UPI) -- Kate Gosselin dismissed child abuse allegations Friday on Twitter.

The 39-year-old reality star took to social media after old court documents surfaced online. Radar Online reported Gosselin's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, allegedly accused his ex-wife of spanking their children and locking them in their bedrooms in 2010.

"Why spiteful court document allegations that were scoffed at/dismissed in court 5yrs ago r news 2day is beyond me," Gosselin tweeted in response to the article. "#Some1DiggingDeep4APayDay."

Gosselin and Jon Gosselin married in June 1999, and finalized their divorce in December 2009. The former couple are parents to twins and sextuplets, and shared a contentious relationship following their split. Gosselin has primary custody of their eight children.

Gosselin and her children recently returned for a third season of TLC reality series Kate Plus 8. The reality star denied she and millionaire Jeff Prescott are dating in January, and admitted single life has become increasingly lonely.
