Tina Fey talks Ellie Kemper and 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'

NEW YORK, March 6 (UPI) -- Tina Fey has been enjoying her time working with Ellie Kemper in her new Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

While speaking to People about the comedy, the Saturday Night Live alum said Kemper is "so intelligent and energetic and adorable."

"I think she is so likable and warm and skilled that I hope people really enjoy watching her," continued Fey who chose Kemper for the starring role in the series about a 20-something woman who moves to New York City after living most of her life in a doomsday cult.

Fey created the show with 30 Rock Executive Producer Robert Carlock. The series was originally slated to air on NBC, but was picked up by Netflix and is currently available for streaming.
