Man charged with murder in stabbing of Nicki Minaj's crew member

PHILADELPHIA, March 6 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia man who stabbed and killed Nicki Minaj's tour manager in February has been charged with murder.

Pierce Boykin, 31, was arrested on Feb. 23 for allegedly stabbing De'Von Pickett outside of Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia on Feb. 18. He also injured Eric Parker, another member of Minaj's team, during the altercation.

Both Pickett and Parker were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center after they were stabbed. Boykin died at the hospital and Parker is said to be in critical condition.

On the day of the incident, Minaj wrote on Twitter the men "had only been [in Philadelphia] for two days rehearsing for [her forthcoming] tour."

Boykin has been charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses, CBS Philly reported.
