Grantville served as the set for protagonist Rick Grimes' hometown, which has its best featured in the episode "Clear," when Grimes goes to the town for weapons.

The Hollywood presence in Grantville put a spark in the dying town. Now Sells says tourism is their biggest industry now and four movies are slated to film there.

He hopes the sale of the buildings will help generate business.

"I'd like to see it active and thriving, and to be a positive part of the community," Sells told Buzzfeed. "As far as what needs to be done, I'm hoping someone with a vision will tell me."

The starting bid for the town is $680,000.
