Bill Murray joins Rick Ross in the studio

The actor and rapper both attended the Rhode Island vs. La Salle basketball game Saturday.

PHILADELPHIA, March 3 (UPI) -- Bill Murray joined Rick Ross in the studio over the weekend.

The 64-year-old actor and 39-year-old rapper both attended the Rhode Island vs. La Salle basketball game Saturday in Philadelphia. Murray's son Luke is an assistant coach for Rhode Island, and visited Ross' studio with his dad after his team won.

Murray, Ross and Luke Murray were joined by longtime David Letterman musical producer Paul Shaffer and movie producer Mitch Glazer. Ross posted a number of photos from the evening on social media, but it is unknown if the group worked on anything specific.

Murray recently appeared with Melissa McCarthy in St. Vincent, and portrayed Ice Pick in Dumb and Dumber To. The actor is scheduled for a number of upcoming projects, including Aloha with Emma Stone, Rock the Kasbah with Taylor Kinney and a live-action Disney remake of The Jungle Book.
