'Top Model' alum Mirjana Puhar killed in triple homicide

Cycle 21 winner Keith Carlos and fellow contestant Chantelle Young shared their condolences on Twitter.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Mirjana Puhar was killed Tuesday in a triple homicide.

The 19-year-old former America's Next Top Model contestant was discovered dead at boyfriend Jonathan Alvarado's home in Charlotte, N.C. Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, were also murdered.

Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder Wednesday. Police said the killings appear to be drug related, and Rangel is also charged with a different murder that took place Sunday in Matthews, N.C.

Puhar competed on cycle 21 of The CW reality series, and was eliminated in episode 10. Winner Keith Carlos and fellow contestant Chantelle Young took to Twitter to share their condolences after news of the model's death broke.
