Ben Harper marries Jaclyn Matfus

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Musician Ben Harper married his social advocate girlfriend Jaclyn Matfus in a secret ceremony earlier this year.

Sources told Us Weekly the couple tied the knot on New Year's Day. A month later Harper and Matfus made their first public appearance as a married couple at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8.

Harper, 45, was previously married to actress Laura Dern. The couple divorced in 2013 after eight years together.

The Grammy winner made headlines last year after it was announced that he was reuniting with his band The Innocent Criminals at the Boston Calling Music Festival in May 2015.
