Christina Aguilera shares new photo with baby Summer Rain

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Christina Aguilera has released new photos of daughter Summer Rain.

The 34-year-old singer shared a series of pictures of herself and the infant with People magazine. Aguilera tweeted about the snapshots Wednesday, saying she and fiancé Matthew Rutler are "so excited to share our baby Summer with the world."

"She was literally like an angel," the star recalled of her daughter's birth in the interview. "Her smile lights up a room and I know it melts mama and daddy's hearts. She laughs a ton and is easy to make smile. She just wants to be where the action is!"

Aguilera and Rutler met on the set of Burlesque, and started dating in 2010. The couple got engaged in February 2014, and welcomed Summer in August. The singer is also mother to 7-year-old son Max Liron with ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

Aguilera released her seventh studio album, Lotus, in November 2012. The record debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Your Body" and "Just a Fool." The singer took a leave of absence from NBC reality competition The Voice to care for her new baby, but will return for season eight.
