LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Bruce Jenner said Sunday that he will "cooperate in every way possible" with the police investigation into a car crash that killed one person in Malibu, Calif., on Saturday.

The crash started when a Prius stopped on the highway and was rear-ended by a Lexus. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was behind the wheel of a black SUV, which allegedly rear-ended the Lexus and pushed it into oncoming traffic. The female Lexus driver was killed at the scene.

"My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," Jenner said in a statement released Sunday.

"It is a devastating tragedy, and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them," he added.

Jenner, 65, passed a field sobriety test, but police plan to check his cell phone records to see if he was texting and driving.
