'Power Rangers' alum accused of killing roommate with sword

TMZ said Medina was arrested Saturday afternoon and will remain in jail until he posts $1 million bail in connection with the death of Joshua Sutter.

PALMDALE, Calif., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Power Rangers Samurai actor Ricardo Medina Jr. has been arrested in Palmdale, accused of stabbing his roommate to death with a sword during a fight.

TMZ reported Medina was arrested Saturday afternoon and will remain in jail until he posts $1 million bail in connection with the death of Joshua Sutter.

KTLA reported that Medina told investigators he tried to walk away from the confrontation and retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend, but admitted he stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen when Sutter forced his way into the room.

The 37-year-old actor called 911 and waited for police to arrive after which he was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder.

Medina, who wore a red costume, also appeared in 2002's Power Rangers Wild Force.
