LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are planning to get married next weekend on the actor's private island in the Bahamas.

Depp, 51, and Heard, 28, confirmed their engagement in January 2014 after dating for almost two years, but they have recently been the subject of breakup rumors.

"It will be a really simple ceremony," an insider told Us Weekly about the wedding. "Things are in a great place with them."

This will be the first marriage for Heard.

Depp and his longtime partner, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, broke up in 2012 after 14 years together. They have two children -- 15-year-old daughter Lily-Rose and 12-year-old son Jack.
