NEW YORK, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Rapper Big Sean denied allegations that he stole his ex fiancee Naya Rivera's Rolex in his cover interview for the February issue of Complex magazine.

"First of all, why would I have to steal a Rolex? Second of all, every Rolex that I have, I have receipts for, papers for, certificates of authenticity for. I would never steal a Rolex from anybody. You see [Naya's] tweet got deleted in like 20 seconds," said Sean, who ended his engagement with Rivera in April of 2014.

On the day the couple announced their split, a since-deleted tweet from Rivera's account accused the rapper of "stealing rolexes from a lady's house now."

"Maybe cuz I'm on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin," the actress wrote at the time.

"I felt like it was unnecessary drama because in my eyes it wasn't true," added the 26-year-old rapper. "I wasn't surprised by it. Even though I didn't steal anything, I wasn't surprised by it."

Sean called off his engagement to the Glee star "after much consideration" according to a statement. The couple had publicly been together for one year at the time.

Rivera went on to marry longtime friend Ryan Dorsey three months after the split from Big Sean, and the rapper is currently dating singer Ariana Grande.
