Seth Rogen, Michael Moore banned from restaurant over 'American Sniper' tweets

"For 43 years, I’ve been a small-business man because of the Chris Kyles of the world, and I have a right to not serve the Michael Moores and the Seth Rogens,” said Tommy Brann.

WYOMING, Mich., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Actor Seth Rogen is not allowed to set foot inside Michigan eatery Brann's Sizzling Steaks and Sports Bar over the comments he made about the war thriller American Sniper.

The restaurant's owner, Tommy Brann, has announced that Rogen and director Michel Moore are banned from his joint in Wyoming, Mich., after the celebrities tweeted what he considered to be less than flattering comments about the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic.

"For 43 years, I've been a small-business man because of the Chris Kyles of the world, and I have a right to not serve the Michael Moores and the Seth Rogens," Brann told WOOD 8 news. "That guy is an American hero."

Kyle, the most lethal sniper in American military history, is the main subject of Eastwood's film, which stars Bradley Cooper as the late Navy SEAL. On Jan. 18, Rogen came under fire after comparing the film to a scene from Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.

On that same day, Moore tweeted about the film stating his uncle had been killed by a sniper. In another tweet, the director explained the comment was not a direct criticism of the American Sniper film.

While Rogen has been attempting to apologize and explain what he meant by his comments, Moore has taken a more confident stand and mocked Brann's ban in another tweet.
