LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Ludacris has been granted primary physical custody of daughter Cai.

A judge gave the 37-year-old rapper, born Christopher Bridges, full custody of the 13-month-old baby Monday, according to TMZ. Ludacris and the child's mother, Tamika Fuller, had been locked in a bitter custody battle over the infant.

"I am gratified that the judge found me to be the most fit and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter," the rapper said in a statement to People magazine.

Fuller testified Ludacris offered her $10,000 and a house to have an abortion after she became pregnant with Cai. She also declared the rapper's recent marriage to Eudoxie Mbouguiengue a sham to convince the judge he was a more stable parent.

Ludacris is also father to 13-year-old daughter Karma Bridges from a previous relationship. The rapper and Mbouguiengue have been together since 2009, and married hours after getting engaged earlier this month.
