LONDON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Dame Judi Dench is thinking about getting a tattoo to commemorate her 80th birthday.

The actress, who turned 80 on Dec. 9, opened up about her plans to get her first ink and revealed the symbol she has chosen during an interview for the March issue of Good Housekeeping U.K.

"Finty's very keen on me having one," Dench said of her daughter Finty Williams.

"There's an Indian symbol that I like which supposedly represents life and love and everything," she said. "One of the cameramen who worked on The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel told me what it meant, but I'm a bit nervous in case I'm being set up. It might be unbelievably rude."

While the actress is more than willing to insert indelible ink into her skin, she doesn't feel the same way about cosmetic procedures.

"I don't think I'm vain enough," she told the magazine. "It's not that I don't mind the lines, because I do, but just not enough to do anything. My agent would go barmy. I'd do myself out of the parts for old people."

Dench is best known for her roles in Mr. Brown, Shakespeare In Love, Chocolat and Philomela and will next star in The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
