LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Farrah Abraham says she is happy to be alive after her botched lip surgery.

The 23-year-old reality star discussed the procedure gone wrong on Monday's episode of The Doctors. Abraham attempted to get an upper lip implant earlier this month, but landed in the hospital after she had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia.

"One of the E.R. doctors said my lip was all the way up here in front my nostrils at one point," she related. "They gave me a steroid and an antibiotic. I'm going to continue my medication for the last three days. I'm just really thankful that I'm alive."

Abraham previously underwent two breast augmentations and a rhinoplasty, and has cheek fillers and a chin implant. Her recent experience has not dissuaded her from potential butt implants, but she said she doesn't want "anything that's creating more problems."

Abraham came to fame on MTV series 16 and Pregnant, and subsequently appeared on Teen Mom. She and late boyfriend Derek Underwood have a five-year-old daughter named Sophia, and the reality star is currently dating Simon Saran.

Abraham will not appear with former co-stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood on Teen Mom. The reality series ran for four seasons on MTV, and will return for a fifth season later this year.
