LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Before celebrating her 57th birthday on Monday, television host Ellen DeGeneres shared on Twitter a picture of her "last sunset of 56." On Sunday, DeGeneres posted a photo of herself and her wife Portia de Rossi going for a stroll in the beach. In the caption, DeGeneres said she was enjoying the view with her "favorite person."

In anticipation of her big day, DeGeneres wrote on Twitter on Jan. 23 she would be celebrating "all week long."
Monday's my birthday! I'm celebrating all week long. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Next year, I'm gonna do a whole month.
