James Caan files for divorce from wife Linda

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Godfather actor James Caan has filed for divorce from his wife Linda, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Caan has previously petitioned to divorce his wife twice during their 19 years of marriage, but the couple reconciled both times. TMZ is reporting the couple do not have a prenuptial agreement and Caan is seeking to terminate her financial support, according to the filing.

Caan has had three previous marriages. He was married to Dee Jay Mattis from 1960 to 1966, Sheila Marie Ryan from 1976 to 1977 and Ingrid Hajek from 1990 to 1995.

They have two sons, James Jr., 19, and Jacob, 16. Caan is filing for joint custody of Jacob.
