LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Former Hollywood executive Cindra Ladd, wife of Braveheart producer Alan Ladd, Jr., is the latest woman to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

In a Huffington Post essay published Monday, Ladd claimed the 77-year-old comedian drugged and raped her in 1969, when she was 21.

Ladd said she began "hanging out" with the 77-year-old comedian when she was living in New York City. According to Ladd, Cosby once offered her a pill to help with her headache.

"I asked a couple of times what it was. Each time he reassured me, asking, 'Don't you trust me?' Of course I did. This was Bill Cosby," Ladd wrote.

"For more than 45 years I have tried to recall exactly what happened that night. To this day it remains a blur," she added.

What I do recall, vividly and clearly, is waking up the next morning nude in the bed of his friend's apartment and seeing Cosby wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe and acting as if there was nothing unusual. It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed. There was a mirror above the bed, which shocked me further.

Ladd said she only told her husband of 30 years about the assault nine years ago and has no plans to sue Cosby or conduct any further interviews.

Ladd's story is similar in detail to the claims of more than 20 other women, including former model Janice Dickinson, who have accused the former Cosby Show star of drugging and/or assaulting them.

In a statement last November, Cosby's attorney, Martin Singer, refuted the allegations.

"It makes no sense that not one of these new women who just came forward for the first time now ever asserted a legal claim back at the time they alleged they had been sexually assaulted," he said at the time.
