PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Critically acclaimed FX series Louie will return to television screens on April 9 at 10:30 p.m. for its fifth season.

FX may also produce another series with Louis C.K. The network announced it will premiere a pilot for a show called Better Things, which will be written by Louis C.K. and his Louie co-star Pamela Adlon. The show focuses on a female actor and working mother raising three daughters.

Louie has done very well on FX. During its four completed seasons it has received many awards, including three Primetime Emmy Awards. The show received media attention during season four because of an episode called "So Did the Fat Lady" that featured a long rant from a girl about being overweight.

The third season also featured one of Robin Williams' last roles before his death.
