Blue Ivy Carter celebrates third birthday at 'Frozen' party

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Blue Ivy Carter celebrated her third birthday Wednesday.

Parents Beyonce and Jay Z threw the toddler a Frozen-themed party to mark the occasion. Blue Ivy is reportedly a big fan of the Disney film, and the bash featured a snowflake-shaped ice sculpture and rainbow layer cake.

"Frozen is definitely her favorite movie," an insider revealed to Us Weekly. "[She is] addicted to Frozen [and] watches it several times a day ... [She] cries when pulled away. Blue always pretends to be Elsa."

"My twin, my fellow sassy pants, my dancing partner, my incredibly smart, beautiful, niece-y poo, turns 3 today!" aunt Solange Knowles wrote in a birthday message to the 3-year-old on Instagram. "I love her so much."

Beyonce and Jay Z married in April 2008, and welcomed Blue Ivy in 2012. The singer released her fifth studio album, Beyoncé, in December 2013, while Jay Z last debuted Magna Carta... Holy Grail in July 2013.
