HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Guardians of the Galaxy voice actor Vin Diesel continued to tease fans about his potential involvement with Marvel Studios' 2018 film Inhumans, posting a fan-made image of himself as Black Bolt.

This isn't the first time Diesel teased fans about his potential future as the character, posting, "I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman..." under an image of Groot, the animatronic and CGI character he voiced in Guardians of the Galaxy.

For those unfamilliar with Marvel's Inhumans, they're a homo sapien race whose ancestors were kidnapped from Earth centuries ago by the Kree -- the alien villains featured in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers -- and subjected to genetic alterations granting them preternatural superpowers, similar to the X-Men without having to wait around for evolution. However unlike the Guardians, Avengers and X-Men, the Inhumans are not a team, but a liberated slave-race now living in their own monarchist society.

Black Bolt, the character Diesel may or may not portray, is the king of the Inhumans. Because Black Bolt's voice is so powerful -- a whisper can destroy an army -- the role would prove the Ying to Diesel's Groot's Yang. Black Bolt never speaks, where Diesel's sole responsibility in portraying Groot was to provide his voice.
