Tyler Baltierra gifts Catelyn Lowell new engagement ring

MARINE CITY, Mich., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Catelynn Lowell received a special gift from fiancé Tyler Baltierra for Christmas.

The 22-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Friday to show off her new diamond engagement ring. The couple got engaged in 2013 and were to be married in July, but Baltierra called off the wedding after admitting he wasn't ready on VH1 series Couples Therapy.

"Babe got my a new engagement ring.... I wasn't expecting this at all... it even has a baby diamond on the bottom to represent our new little girl.... thank you so much @tylerbaltierramtv I love you!" Lowell captioned the photo.

Lowell and Baltierra first came to fame on MTV reality series 16 and Pregnant in 2009. The program saw the childhood sweethearts welcome their first child, daughter Carly, and subsequently give the baby up for adoption.

The couple went on to star on four seasons of spinoff show Teen Mom. Lowell is currently pregnant with their second child, and will return for a fifth season with original stars Maci Bookout and Amber Portwood in 2015.
