Matt Damon sells Miami Beach home for $15.3 million

The actor met wife Luciana Bozan Barroso while filming "Stuck on You" in Miami.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Matt Damon has sold his Miami Beach home for $15.3 million.

The 44-year-old actor bought the property for $14.5 million in 2005, and listed the house with The Jills of Coldwell Banker, Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber. Amerisave mortgage company CEO Patrick Markert purchased the home after selling three condos for $27.5 million with The Jills.

The 43,000 sq. ft. double-lot property features 170 ft. of water frontage on Biscayne Bay, a poolhouse and a guesthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The 12,700 sq. ft. house boasts seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, a home theater and a private terrace.

Damon met wife Luciana Bozan Barroso while filming Stuck on You in Miami in April 2003. The couple married in December 2005, and currently live in Los Angeles with their three daughters, Isabella, Gia and Zavala. The family live close to the actor's longtime friend, Ben Affleck.

Damon last appeared as Dr. Mann in Christopher Nolan film Interstellar. He will next star with Jessica Chastain and Kate Mara in Ridley Scott sci-fi adventure The Martian, and is also scheduled to reprise Jason Bourne in a new sequel.
