'Glee' releases full version of Lea Michele's 'Let It Go'

"Let It Go" is performed by Broadway star and Michele's "Glee" mom Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa on the animated film.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Glee has released the full audio clip of Lea Michele's version of "Let It Go" from Disney's Academy Award-wining animated feature, Frozen.

The recording was released via People magazine Monday three months after Michele, 28, hinted on Twitter she would be performing the acclaimed track in the sixth and final season of the musical comedy.

"Let It Go" was written by husband and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and is performed by Broadway star and Michele's Glee mom Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa on the film. The track was awarded an Academy Award, the Critics' Choice Award for Best Original Song in 2013.

Singer Demi Lovato also released a version of the track.

The final season of Glee released its first trailer last week and begins Jan. 9 at 8/7c on Fox.
