Brooke Shields poses in box as life-size Barbie

NEW YORK, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Brooke Shields shared a strange photo Monday on Instagram.

The 49-year-old model posted a picture of herself posing inside a box as a life-size holiday Barbie. Shields stands inside the large, pink glittery container with a smile frozen on her face behind the cellophane wrapper.

"I made this thanks to you #ContainerStore!!" she captioned the snapshot.

Shields came to fame as a model in the 1980s, and inspired a toy doll based on her likeness. She simultaneously pursued a career in acting, and appeared on such shows as Lipstick Jungle and Army Wives in later years.

Shields and writer Chris Henchy married in April 2001, and have two daughters, 18-year-old Grier Hammond and 11-year-old Rowan Francis. The actress currently voices Mrs. Goodman on Adult Swim animated series Mr. Pickles.
