LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Orange is The New Black actress Taryn Manning was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly made criminal threats against a former friend, but the district attorney declined to prosecute her and the arrest was voided.

Manning was initially accused of violating a restraining order that instructed her to stay away from Jeanine Heller. According to TMZ, the actress reportedly contacted Heller via text and social media with messages like: "I will kill you, [expletive]", "Go [expletive] yourself and die" and "What's taking so long? Shouldn't you be dead by now?"

E! News reports the two women were issued mutual restraining orders in July after Manning accused Heller of cyberstalking her and stated in court documents that Heller was trying to convince her that another friend was selling her secrets to the press.

Heller was arrested in September after she violated the order and called Manning.

In a statement regarding Manning's arrest, her lawyer Stacey Richman told Us Weekly "the district attorney's office investigated an allegation of a violation of an order of protection" and later declined to prosecute the actress and the arrest was voided.

"The allegation was false," Richman said. "It is unfortunate that additional false allegations by an individual convicted of violating orders of protection intended to protect Ms. Manning are facilitated by purported news organizations to perpetuate the harassment of Ms. Manning exponentially."
