NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Raven-Symone has asked social media followers to stop speculating about interactions with Bill Cosby, who played her TV grandfather on The Bill Cosby Show.

"I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!" Raven-Symone, now 28, wrote on Instagram Wednesday, in reference to a widely circulated hoax story by self-described parody website Hip Hop Hangover.

"I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of!" Raven-Symone added. "Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"

NBC said Wednesday that the network had canceled its much-hyped Cosby comeback sitcom, as allegations that he had drugged and assaulted at least 15 women continued to gain traction.
