Hugh Laurie joins 'Veep'

WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Hugh Laurie is making a return to television as a star on the hit HBO show Veep.

He will join Julia Louis-Dreyfus who plays Selina Meyer, the vice president of the United States who ascended to the Oval office last season after her boss resigned. This will be the first time Laurie has been on TV since the show House ended in 2012.

Laurie confirmed on Twitter that he's shooting multiple episodes.

The details about Laurie's role are still unknown. Veep is set to return with its fourth season in the new year.
