NEW YORK, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- The world's wackiest Halloween parade took center stage again in the Village in Manhattan as skeletons strutted their stuff with witches, ghosts and drag queens.

This year's grand marshal was actress Whoopi Goldberg, who cruised by on a float representing the parades theme this year: "The Garden of Earthly Delights."

Most of the elaborate costumes were provocative, scary or hilarious (sometimes all three, like the Michael Jackson dancing zombies who bust moves to "Thriller.") One of the more unusual get-ups was a "hammer out Ebola" costume worn by Dr. Jane Testa, who dressed in a hazmat suit and held a balloon mock-up of the virus to "raise awareness."
