LONDON, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- The problem-plagued Lindsay Lohan tweeted yesterday that she was skipping Wednesday's matinee and evening performances of her latest acting gig in David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow, which debuted this month at London's Playhouse Theatre.

Lohan's touted "comeback," one of many, seemed to be starting out OK with at least middling reviews. But then came reports that she was late or skipping rehearsals, followed by desultory instagram selfies, including one topless, of Lohan in her dressing room.

Now she's missing performances -- due to illness, she explained to fans. "So sorry everyone but Im too ill to perform and down for the count. Dr wants me to rest," she tweeted. "Wont make shows 2nt but pls enjoy #speedtheplow XxL"

Lilo typically performs eight times a week. She plays a vampy temp who works for two male film producers in the play that takes a satirical look at Hollywood. She forgot some lines opening night, and ticket sales are down.
