LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Dylan Penn approves of father Sean Penn dating Charlize Theron. The 23-year-old model said as much to Us Weekly at the Dsquared2 party in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Penn is daughter to Sean Penn and Robin Wright, and told the magazine Theron is the first woman to have a real influence on her dad since her mom.

"She's awesome," she said of Theron. "They've been away for months working together in South Africa, so I haven't seen much other either of them. She's great and they're amazing together. As long as my dad's happy, I'm happy for both of them."
"She's brilliant, for one thing," she continued of the actress. "And she's the only woman since my mom who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a [expletive]ing challenge ... She's a powerhouse."
Sean Penn and Theron confirmed their relationship in January, and had moved in together by February. The couple are currently in the actress' home country of South Africa to film The Last Face, and are reportedly considering marrying and adopting a child.
Sean Penn was previously married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989, and to Wright from 1996 to 2010. He and Wright also have a 21-year-old son named Hopper Jack. As for Theron, the actress was in a relationship with Stuart Townsend from 2001 to 2009.
