NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Looks like Sandra Bullock isn't just a heroine on the big screen — she recently came to the rescue of an extra who collapsed on set in New Orleans of an apparent heat stroke.

The incident happened Sunday as Bullock and co-star Bill Bob Thornton were filming scenes for their next movie, Our Brand Is Crisis.

Extras on set were told to wear cold-weather clothes and since it's a little warm in the Louisiana city right now, at least one actor got overheated.

The woman collapsed and Bullock responded by fanning the actress and giving her water. The Miss Congeniality actress waited with the woman until an ambulance arrived and took her to a nearby hospital.

Our Brand is Crisis is a political dramedy about a retired American political consultant played by Bullock.
