LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Julia Roberts opened up about her good friend George Clooney's recent nuptials while attending Friday's 2014 Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN ) Awards in LA.

"We've spoken many times since he's gone from a bridegroom to a husband," Roberts said.

Asked whether she had any advise for her newlywed pal -- Roberts has been married to cameraman Daniel Moder since for 12 years -- the Oscar-winning actress joked, "Oh yes. I'll be advising George Clooney on his marital life. I'll get right on that!"

Pressed for a real answer, Roberts said "the only advice for" having a happy family "is finding your person – and he's found his person."

The actress and Moder received GLSEN's Humanitarian Award Friday for their "commitment to, and support of, numerous philanthropic endeavors and humanitarian causes, including GLSEN, UNICEF, Heal the Bay, Stand Up To Cancer, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, and many others."
