Amanda Bynes to remain on psychiatric hold

PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Amanda Bynes will remain on an involuntary psychiatric hold for an additional two weeks.

The 28-year-old actress was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after being admitted to a mental health facility on Friday. The 5150 allowed her to be held for an initial 72 hours, and doctors chose to extend the hold for 14 more days on Monday.

Bynes was previously placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in July 2013, and her parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, were subsequently granted conservatorship of their daughter. The couple were instrumental in Bynes being committed last week, and will likely seek conservatorship once more.

Sources told TMZ Bynes is feeling angry with and "utterly betrayed" by her mother and father. The actress reportedly said her relationship with her parents is "destroyed forever," and her acrimony is expected to make her difficult to manage.
