PARIS, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Renowned French actor Gerard Depardieu has published his autobiography, It Happened Like That (Ca C'est Fait Comme Ca), which reveals startling details from his past as a young prostitute and grave robber in Châteauroux, France.

The 65-year-old star of Green Card and Cyrano de Bergerac writes in the book that he started working as a child prostitute at age 10, according to details published by The Daily Mail on Sunday.

"I've known since I was very young that I please homosexuals," he writes. "I would ask them for money."

Depardieu also said that he would help a man steal clothes from bodies buried in the cemetery.

He continued to work as a prostitute in his 20s, when he began stealing from his clients.

"I would rip some of them off. I would beat up some bloke and leave with all his money," he writes.
