Wiz Khalifa debuts new, purple hair

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Wiz Khalifa has new, purple hair.

The 27-year-old rapper dyed his dreadlocks a bright shade of magenta in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Khalifa live-tweeted the process to his 15 million Twitter followers as the colorist bleached his hair and transitioned it to purple.

Khalifa is currently in the midst of a divorce from model Amber Rose. The couple were married for 14 months, and early reports suggested one or both partners had been unfaithful. Rose filed for divorce Sept. 22, and denied she cheated while simultaneously accusing Khalifa of infidelity Sept. 25 on Twitter.

Rose has since been spotted with Nick Simmons on multiple occasions, but the 25-year-old son of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons recently asserted the pair are just friends. The model has kept largely mum on her divorce, but did share a candid and emotional post Monday on Twitter.

"The pain..." she wrote. "I wake up every morning feeling like my best friend died..... I never knew what a true heartache felt like until now."

Khalifa released his fifth studio album, Blacc Hollywood, in August.
