LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Kyle MacLachlan might be on board for Showtime's hotly anticipated Twin Peaks revival.

The 55-year-old actor, who played Agent Dale Cooper in the original series run, tweeted Monday that he's ready to don his trademark suit.

"Better fire up that percolator and find my black suit :-) #Twinpeaks," he wrote.

Co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost announced Monday that they would both be back for a nine-episode limited Twin Peaks series.

It will take place 25 years after the original, in keeping with Laura Palmer's final words to Cooper: "I'll see you again in 25 years."

Frost told Deadline on Monday that fans will soon find out whether MacLachlan will reprise his character.

"I think you'll have the answer to that sooner rather than later," he said.
