Mary-Louise Parker to release memoir 'Dear Mr. You'

NEW YORK, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Mary-Louise Parker will release memoir Dear Mr. You in fall 2015.

The 50-year-old actress is basing the book on letters written to significant men in her life. Possible subjects include ex-boyfriends Billy Crudup and Jeffrey Dean Morgan; Parker and Crudup were together from 1996 to 2003 and share a son, while she and Morgan dated from 2006 to 2008. Dear Mr. You will be published by Simon & Schuster imprint Scribner.

"I am so honored and trilled to be working with Scribner and in the company of such wonderful writers," the actress said in a statement.

"From Frank McCourt to Jeannette Walls to Anjelica Huston, Scriber loves a great memoirist, and Mary-Louise Parker is one," publisher Nan Graham lauded. "Her writing is magnificent; the conceit -- a memoir in letters to men -- is wholly original and brilliantly executed."

Parker is best known for her role as Nancy Botwin on Showtime series Weeds, and also appeared on NBC drama The West Wing and HBO miniseries Angels in America. The actress will next star on new NBC comedy Feed Me.
