LONDON, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Dakota Fanning says she is "super happy" with boyfriend Jamie Strachan. The 20-year-old actress opened up about her relationship with the 33-year-old model in an interview with The London Times. The couple have been dating for over a year, and Fanning asserted their age gap has no impact on their love.

"I'm super happy," she shared. "I think love is very important and it's really fun to have someone to experience things with. It makes everything a bit more special."
"People love who they love and you go with that," she said of their 13-year age difference. "People get so stuck in rules for life. You go with what feels right."
Fanning's parents have known each other since childhood, and the actress finds their 25-year marriage an inspiration for her own relationship.
"I've always wanted that," she related. "I've seen how wonderful it is to have parents who have experienced pretty much everything together."
Fanning will next appear as the title character in Effie Gray, and is scheduled for American Pastoral and Brain on Fire in 2016.
