NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift invited a group of fans to her Los Angeles house on Saturday for a private and secret screening of her upcoming new album, 1989.

The 35 lucky fans recounted their afternoon with Swift on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr and revealed they had no idea what awaited when they received a Twitter message from Taylor Nation offering them a "once in a lifetime opportunity."

According to one fan's account of events the hand-picked fanatics were given a meeting point, a password, a time and "zero other details" about the event. After arriving at the meeting point fans had to turn in their belongings -- including their cellphones -- and were escorted to Swift's home by a security team.

Once at the Grammy-winner's home fans went through another screening before entering the house through the back yard where pizza, sushi, fruits and vegetables, and brownies and cookies awaited. Fans were eventually led into the singer's living room where she greeted them all and fed them cookies she baked herself.

Swift allegedly asked fans to keep the songs' titles and lyrics a secret until the album comes out on Oct. 27 and went on to play and detail the entire record.

Fans -- who had surrendered their phones at the meeting point -- were then offered the chance to pose for instant pictures with Swfit with the prop of their choice. While many chose to pose with the singer's Grammy awards or her new cat Olivia Benson, others simply decided to hug her. In addition to the picture, attendees received a souvenir bag filled with 1989 merchandise including a key chain engraved with "1989 Secret Sessions - Los Angeles, Ca."

Attendees later shared their pictures with Swift on social media (see the carrousel at the top) and thanked the singer for a great time.

The "Shake It Off" singer pulled a similar stunt after announcing her upcoming record last month, as she invited another group of hand-picked fans, who attended the Yahoo! live steam where she unveiled 1989, back to her NYC apartment for pizza.
