LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Comedian Sarah Silverman went on a Twitter rant over the weekend after finding out several news outlets reported she wanted to get engaged to her boyfriend Michael Sheen. "Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married," Silverman tweeted Sunday.

The 43-year-old Emmy-winner later added a bit more context to her reasons for not wanting to wed.
"Why would I want the govt involved in my love life?" she wrote. "Ew. It's barbaric."
Silverman went on to say that while rumors usually don't bother her this one in particular made her feel "bigoted."
"That shit never bothers me b/c who cares but I feel like this one is bigoted," she concluded. "The Jew girl MUST want a RING! Yich"
The actress' tweets seem to be in response to a recent Star magazine article titled: "Sarah wants a ring." Silverman has been dating the Master of Sex actor since February of this year.
